OnlyFans is the default subscription site for many creators. It is not the only option. People look elsewhere for different tools, easier discovery, a niche audience, local pricing, individual video sales, or a backup if one site changes its rules.
This guide covers the platforms that still matter for most creator decisions. Each section answers who the site is for, how payouts usually work and what to watch. Full round-by-round feature scorecards live in the linked comparisons and reviews—this hub stays decision-focused instead of repeating every FAQ for every brand.
It is not a ranked “best of” list, and it does not treat every name from old blog roundups as a current pick.
How to choose
Start with what you need, not with a brand name:
- Subscription feed (OnlyFans-style): fans pay monthly for your posts and DMs.
- Clip store / marketplace: fans browse and buy single videos; monthly clubs are secondary.
- Membership inside Patreon-style rules: often grown from YouTube or podcasts; check that platform’s content policy.
- Niche audience: for example a strong gay adult crowd that already has a home.
- Your own site: you pay for software and own the shop. You also own support and payments hassle.
Then ask: Can I send people there? After fees, does the math still work? Can I keep up with posting and replies?

Fansly
What it is. The closest mainstream OnlyFans-style alternative: subscriptions, tips, paid media and messages, adult-friendly.
How you get paid. Creators keep 80% from subscriptions, sold media, messages, and tips (Fansly Getting Started). Money sits pending for seven days before it is available to withdraw. After you request a payout, Fansly help describes a common path of review within about 48 hours and delivery often 1–3 business days once processing starts, with method minimums (often around $20)—confirm live (Payout Processing Times).
What makes it different. More than one subscription tier (Creator Hub), people who follow for free, automated messages and mass messages, plus For You Page / hashtag discovery. The brand is weaker than OnlyFans, so new visitors from social need clearer wording. You can run one tier and still use discovery or free followers.
Good for. Creators who want OnlyFans-like fees with optional tier pricing, free followers or on-site discovery.
Watch outs. Discovery results vary by account. Off-site promo still matters for most accounts. Tiers mean more to manage if you use more than one.

Fanvue
What it is. A UK-based creator platform (Shift Holdings) aimed at adult and non-adult creators. It says it will stay open to adult content.
How you get paid. Fanvue’s Creator Earnings policy sets the usual creator share at 80% of gross revenue from paid services (Creator Earnings & Payouts). Temporary promotions may raise your share; budget on the usual 80% unless your dashboard shows a live promo. Pending balances usually clear in about seven days (can extend to 28); after you request, Fanvue aims to initiate payout within about 10 business days—bank arrival after that depends on the method. Creator referral terms (when offered) have documented caps and durations; check the live referral policy before you plan around them.
What makes it different. Free follows, Discover eligibility tied to safe-for-work Public Media, event-based automated messages and built-in AI messaging/analytics tools (What is Fanvue?). Fansly also documents automated and mass messages—Fanvue’s edge here is the AI messaging/analytics layer, not “having automation at all.” Acceptable Use restricts masks/coverings that prevent identifying featured real people (AUP). Confirm neck-down framing in Fanvue Help if that is your plan. Fanvue help documents an AI-content pathway with disclosure and other rules; an AI-disclosed page is a different business from real-person privacy.
Good for. Creators who will use free followers, Discover-compliant public media or Fanvue’s AI tooling—and whose content clears Fanvue’s disclosure and covering rules.
Watch outs. Smaller consumer brand than OnlyFans. Intro fee deals are not the long-term rate. Masked real-person feeds are the clearest documented friction.

LoyalFans
What it is. An adult-leaning subscription site with more than a basic feed: subscriptions and paid unlocks sit next to store-style extras, live features, video calls, and shoutout-style products, depending on what you turn on.
How you get paid. LoyalFans markets an 80/20 split across core earnings (you keep 80%). Confirm the live split in your account and terms before you budget. Limited promo days that raise your share are campaigns, not the usual rate.
Payouts. CammingWebmasters’ LoyalFans affiliate summary documents twice-monthly periods (1st–15th and 16th–month-end), each paid within about one to seven working days after the period closes, with a $50 ACH minimum. Check your LoyalFans wallet for the current schedule and methods.
What makes it different. More ways to package paid offers in one place (store-style extras, live features, calls and shoutouts, depending on what you enable), plus documented on-site browsing and profile search that OnlyFans historically underplays in creator marketing.
Good for. Creators who sell customs, calls or store items as seriously as a monthly feed.
Watch outs. Smaller consumer brand than OnlyFans. More features means more to run day to day.

ManyVids
What it is. An adult marketplace first. Fans search categories, watch trailers, and buy individual videos. Club subscriptions and a separate Membership price band exist, but think “shop with browsers already on the site,” not only a private monthly feed.
How you get paid (official). ManyVids publishes how much creators keep by sale type (Creator Commission Payout Percentages):

Weekly payouts accrue Wednesday–Tuesday UTC, sit seven days in arrears, then issue on Wednesdays when the method minimum is met (Weekly Payouts). Documented methods include Direct Deposit, Paxum and Cosmopayment with $50 minima and method fees/processing times after issuance (Payout Information). Availability can vary by country.
What makes it different. Buyers often arrive ready to purchase niche video. Club (exclusive feed posts, $1.99–$29.99/month band) is documented separately from Memberships ($39.99–$999.99 band); Membership access ends when the membership expires (Pricing Policy; Club for Subs; Terms for Users & Members). Pricing alone does not establish which videos a Membership includes, whether you can exclude titles, billing periods or commission—confirm those in live tools. Paid contest votes earn for the creator and do not unlock content (Terms for Uploaders).
Good for. Creators who sell fetish or niche videos one at a time and can write clear titles and thumbnails. Club keeps the same 80% creator share as customs and store items if you also want a monthly feed on ManyVids.
Watch outs. Standard video sales keep 60%, so price those titles for the larger cut. Marketplace traffic helps when shoppers find you—but it does not replace clear niches, trailers and off-site promo.
Versus OnlyFans. Different business. Use ManyVids when shoppers buy specific videos on the site. Use OnlyFans when fans pay monthly for a feed of posts. Deeper assessment: ManyVids review.
Patreon
What it is. A mainstream membership platform for creators who already have an audience on YouTube, podcasts, newsletters or social.
How you get paid. Patreon’s official Creator fees overview states that creators who publish a page after August 4, 2025 are on a standard 10% platform plan, plus applicable taxes and separate payment-processing fees. Creators who published on or before that date can remain on legacy plans (historically including Founders 5%, Pro 8%, and Pro + Merch at a higher rate) if the page stays continuously published. Unpublishing can move you onto the standard 10% plan when you republish. Do not budget Patreon as if it always takes the same 20% cut OnlyFans usually takes.
Content rules. Patreon’s Community Guidelines allow a range of Adult/18+ work behind a paid monthly subscription for members who are 18+, with strict limits. Public-facing spaces (profile image, banner, tier descriptions, free posts and public previews) must stay free of nudity and sexually explicit material. Real-person sexual activity between adults is not permitted; some illustrated, animated, written or audio Adult/18+ work is allowed when it meets the guidelines. Read the live policy before you migrate an OnlyFans-style feed.
Good for. Teachers, artists, podcasters and influencers building memberships inside Patreon’s rules.
Watch outs. You still need an audience you bring yourself. An OnlyFans-style real-person explicit video business will not map cleanly onto Patreon.
Versus OnlyFans. Different rules and fees. Often a second product for different content, not a like-for-like swap.
Just For Fans (JFF)
What it is. A subscription platform at justfor.fans founded by Dominic Ford. Company positioning quoted by the Free Speech Coalition describes a particularly strong following among gay adult creators and fans. Other niches still appear.
How you get paid. JFF Help states performers receive 80% across the board (What percentage of sales do I receive?, modified December 21, 2021). The same article mentions an Exclusive Performer program at 85% on listed lines (tips, store, private media, SMS)—but it does not spell out eligibility or restrictions, so this hub does not recommend exclusivity or treat 85% as the planning rate. Older “creators keep 70%” posts are out of date for the standard split.
Payouts. Automatic weekly or monthly payouts with a $50 minimum (How often do you pay performers?). Weekly calculations commonly run Monday with Wednesday issuance—confirm live.
What you can sell. Beyond a monthly feed, JFF’s help materials document a store (download/stream and physical items), live cams with scheduling, subscription tiers, SMS products and customs via chat upload—use what matches your niche.
Good for. Creators working for gay / queer adult audiences JFF emphasizes, or who will use store downloads, cams and customs.
Watch outs. Smaller general consumer brand than OnlyFans. Not a generic clone for every niche.
Versus OnlyFans. OnlyFans vs Just For Fans.
AdmireMe
What it is. A UK-based adult subscription platform. Creators can price in GBP, USD or EUR. Handy for British creators who want statement amounts that match local fans.
How you get paid. FAQs document an 80% creator share (20% commission). Pay periods run Friday–Thursday; payday is Monday (about 11 days after the period). Balances over £100 after fees pay automatically; £20–£99.99 can be requested with a £3 fee.
What makes it different. Search, categories, albums, homepage featuring (from 50 standard posts) and Premium posts vs Premium Shop are built in—not only a private link you send yourself.
Good for. UK/EU-leaning adult creators who want a regional home next to, or instead of, a USD-first brand.
Watch outs. Smaller global name than OnlyFans. Plan around the auto-payout threshold or the small-cashout fee.

Own-site builders (for example Scrile Connect)
What it is. Not a marketplace you “join.” You pay for software to run a paid site under your own brand.
How you get paid / what it costs. Scrile Connect’s public pricing page lists 0% revenue commission and flat software plans: Solo at $79/month (or $59/month billed yearly) with 200 GB and one creator page; Pro at $500/month (or $425/month billed yearly) with 500 GB and unlimited creator pages; Enterprise as custom pricing (scrile.com/connect/buy, checked September 7, 2026). You still pay your own payment-provider costs, hosting add-ons if you buy them, and support/compliance work.
Good for. Established operators and agencies who want control of features, branding and data.
Watch outs. You own support, rules compliance, payment disputes and marketing. Wrong choice if you needed a marketplace’s famous name and built-in buyers.
If you still see older platform names
Some older articles still mention sites that later changed models, went quiet or stopped being a practical place to send fans. Stick to the platforms in the map above unless you have a specific reason to dig further.
AVN Stars
What happened. In late 2021, AVN said AVN Stars and GayVN Stars would stop creator monetization from January 1, 2022, citing banking pressure. From that date, content on the site was to become free to view rather than paid subscriptions (Vice, December 2, 2021; Them). Creators who depended on those fees had to move fans and media elsewhere.
What this means for you. Live OnlyFans vs AVN Stars shopping guides, and December 2021 “where to go after AVN” lists, are historical. They are not a current comparison, and they are not a live “OF vs AVN” decision.
If you need a home now. We have not verified a reliable current paid-creator setup on AVN Stars for this guide. Use a live option from the map above—for example Fansly, Fanvue, LoyalFans or ManyVids—and read that platform’s current terms and payout help before you move people. Do not treat a 2021 exit list as today’s shortlist.
Other names from archived posts
Unlockd, Unfiltrd, AdultNode, FriendsOnly, Flirtback, BestFans, iFans and similar names still appear in older posts. Several are gone or too unclear to recommend here. Prefer a live platform from this guide instead.
FanCentro
FanCentro still advertises creator signup, an 80% creator share on listed lines, monthly payouts with a $100 minimum, clips and Discover-style browsing (Become a Creator). Trustpilot reviewers of fancentro.com (checked September 10, 2026) often describe payout, login and content problems after a mid-2025 update. Running two platforms can still help if one site changes its rules. Add a second site only when you can keep posting and reply quality high.
